Only the essentials
Tiny but packs a punch! I threw a 1/4" band on this, trimmed off a couple inches from the bandset. It's awesome for shooting small projectiles. Just above BB size packs a wallop.
Be Careful
First of all I want to say that this is perfect exactly as it is intended and advertised - as a neat slingshot keychain. But of course, I read all the reviews and watched a couple videos of people banding these up to shoot with… and I thought hey I’ll try a $5 mini slingshot! I am new to the sport and am starting to get the hang of my new Scout X. So when I banded this up with 10mm straights I just figured I’d shoot it the same way I shoot the big Scout - BIG MISTAKE! I was even using the plastic practice ammo and I still dang near cracked my thumbnail in half lol! If you intend to use this as a mini slingshot and don’t already know what you’re doing, I highly recommend looking up how to shoot a pickle fork slingshot before trying this one out! With the pouch twist and tweak I can now get the ammo up over the fork (though I’ve yet to hit anything smaller than a piece of printer paper) and I suspect my thumbnail will be giving me a colorful show over the next few weeks haha. So yeah, do what you’re gonna do, but be careful!!!
Awesome
This is a fun little zinger. I also love being able to carry a functional slingshot on my keychain.
scout keychain
after buying black green and glow in the dark versions and banding them up (not meant to but take full responsiblity). me and my children have great fun in the garden shooting clay ammo and plastic beads off the slab spacers my son uses at work. afun product and just grear as a keyring not banded. will buy another soon for friend. well made with no edges to rub or cut and the keyring it self makes a goof finger loop /hold.
Fun!
I wanted to try this micro frame after seeing that other users actually made these into functioning slingshots. I was not disappointed. I took at most 10 minutes to learn the wrap and tuck method, then I attached a 1/4” lite band with band tying tape. This thing is as fun as it gets, and it’s not that hard to shoot either. I typically use .177 bb’s, the rubber training ammo, and 1/4” steel balls with this one. The latter will easily enter old pop cans and exit out the back. After a few hours total of fun practice spread over a week, I’m getting 1st shot hits. Overall it’s a fun and very interesting novelty. When paired with lite bands and .177 bb’s it’s a good, low-stakes way to reinforce slingshot fundamentals. It’ll fit in any pocket or an Altoids tin. I sort of think of it as the NAA Mini Revolver of slingshots.
