  1. Thought the rubber was attached to the handle.

Posted by Unknown on Dec 15th 2016

I received the item promptly but have to put the rubber band on. Did not appear to be very substantial. Will see.

  2. the best

it is a very high standart quality
i have two of this slingshot and i love them very much

  3. Makes the transition from archery to slingshots SUPER easy!

Posted by Michael Shuttleworth on Dec 8th 2016

Let's start with opening the package. When I first pulled the Scout out of the package, my first thought was "DANG!!! This thing looks freaking awesome!" Mind you this is my first slingshot I've ever owned. I had done some research on the Scout and I had a good idea of how the band retention system worked so I immediately put this bad boy into "work mode". I was pleased to find that it came with the new black latex bands as I had also done some research on different types of bands and I had decided that I liked them the best. At first I set up the Scout TTF, but after about 300 good and bad shots, I decided to try OTT. Dead on from the first shot. That's another thing I love about the Scout. You are able to change the band orientation according to your shooting preference. I come from an archery background so I had an idea of how to operate and aim the slingshot, but the Simple Shot YouTube channel made sure I had no doubts. So far I have put about 1500 3/8 steel shots through it and it is absolutely flawless! If you're looking for a great slingshot, there is NO way you can go wrong with the Scout Gen 2.

  4. Great 1st slingshot

Posted by Bill on Dec 3rd 2016

Suffered a birthday recently and decided to get something fun for myself. I thought a slingshot would be something I could enjoy in the backyard. After doing some research I settled on the Simple Shot Scout. I hadn't shot a slingshot in 30+ years and could not hit a thing back then. After watching some videos before my Scout arrived, I was able to hit CLOSE to where I was aiming, the Scout allowed me to try several different gripping styles in comfort and ease. With practice I am now HITTING what I aim at with astounding regularity. The Scout is accurate. It's easy to experiment with different grip styles, and plane fun to shoot. I'm now hooked.. got a Rambone 2.0 to keep my Scout company! Perfect !st slingshot.

  5. Awesome ....

Just received my scout from simple-shot. I must say all the hype about this catapult is true.... go on... get yourself one ..you won't regret it.

  6. Perfect

Posted by Dennis Goodlin on Nov 21st 2016

This sling shot may well be perfect in every way for my style and handsize. Palm swell is spot on for me and hammer or thumb support grip is comfortable with no pressure points during long shooting sessions. I LOVE the flip clips for changing out band sets. The comfort and confidence I have with this slingshot makes it my go to. I have two of these one with double bands one with single. I am looking to purchase the aluminum version.

  7. A great buy for fun or for the hunt

Posted by Joe on Nov 13th 2016

I own a few Slingshots, but the Scout Gen. 2 is by far my favorite. I use it to take squirrels (by the way the ammo they sell here is what I use and also a good buy) and to shoot for fun. I like it so much I own 3, and keep one on me almost all the time so I can shoot it whenever I have a chance. Fits great in my hand, and is comfortable to hold. A slingshot worth for Bart Simpson ha ha.

  8. Very happy with this item!

Posted by Mark Platter on Oct 26th 2016

Never having used a slingshot before, I really had no idea what to expect. This thing is nuts! Can't get over the accuracy, from the very first shot! You won't be disappointed with this, I guar-an-tee it!

  9. Solid as a Tank

Posted by Smitty on Oct 24th 2016

Very well built slingshot, and extremely accurate, although I do have two issues:
    1. I shoot OTT and after just a few shots I noticed unusual wear on both sides of my bands. There's a molding ridge on the top of the forks which is causing abrasions that are wearing out the bands. I switched to the TTF band set up because I noticed the sides of the forks are much smoother. It was either switch my shootiing style, or go through bands very quickly.
    2. The plastic clip system for attaching the bands stripped out after one band change, and NO I did not over tighten the screws. In fact, I was very conscious of not over-tightening the screws. I guess it's just the nature of using a metal screw in a self-tapping plastic sleeve.
I've seen Nathan in a few videos and he seems like a great guy, so I'm sure this will probably be rectified sooner or later. I guess I'm just a little pissed that I bought mine before these issues get addressed.

  10. Love It

Posted by Lester Light on Oct 20th 2016

I love the way it feels in my hand. My favorite slingshot.

  11. Okay but better to just buy the bands and make your own.

Posted by Unknown on Oct 10th 2016

I will likely use the band for a custom slingshot because the prong is not as good as what I could make myself and I say this because I am a long-term user of slingshots

  12. scout

    Heck of a good slingshot.

  13. Good stuff

Posted by Unknown on Sep 24th 2016

Comfy, solid, and well built. bought three for friends, but this is my first, it'd larger than I expected, but the fork Gap Is pretty forgiving for a novice.

  14. Versatile design

Posted by Phillip on Sep 22nd 2016

Got my scout at a discount labor day sale. Good shooter at a good price.

  15. Great slingshot

Posted by Dean on Sep 20th 2016

Very comfortable slingshot and feels exceptionally well made. Very natural feeling in my hand. The flip clips are pretty handy, but I'm on the fence about whether or not I like them. But you can still tie your bands on the old fashioned way... I really like this slingshot.
