Catchbox for Slingshots
This product is 20% off when you purchase any slingshot!
The great thing about slingshots is that you can recycle your ammo . . . and a good catchbox is a must for every slingshot shooter!
We wanted a catchbox with a few important features:
- Folds for storage / transportation
- Easy assembly
- Durable for consistent use
- Large enough to accommodate multiple targets
Well, we never could find one, so we made one! This catchbox (Made in China to SimpleShot quality standards.) folds up nicely for easy storage or transportation and is easily assembled with simple corner joints. It has upgraded durability and is a 17-inch cube, so you can put spinners, cans, even plates (paper, please) inside.
Let's be clear. A catch box is NOT designed to take direct hits to the frame or to the front. The idea is that your shot will enter the catch box and be slowed by the hanging fabric. No slingshot catch box is designed for direct hits to the frame. We upgraded the material around the front and in the back of the catchbox for greater durability, but if you shoot the frame directly, you can break a frame post.
Add EXTRA fabric to the catchbox if you are shooting heavy or fast ammo. The included backstop will stop match ammo, but you will need extra for faster or heavy ammo.
This catchbox comes with a free 5-pack of silicone spinner targets.

Catchbox Goings On
This catchbox I recently bought is definitely a step up from the homemade one I have. The two layers of material for stopping the ammo is just perfect. The unit is lightweight, and should last quite awhile since I don't see any hits on the frame in its future. The different size orange targets are a nice touch. This is money well spent, I would say.

Portable Catch Box
The box itself works great. Materials are robust, and a few hits to the exterior caused no damage. On the negative side, there are not instructions as how to assemble. For me, assemble was awkward and difficult, and I was fearful that I might break one of the plastic rod in the process of forcing it into the fittings. A better support structure assembly would be a big improvement, such as an “origami”style collapsible internal support structure, such as used in pop-up tents. The you could unroll it and it would take from automatically.

Well made and easy to assemble Catchbox
Excellent quality and great value. Came with a backstop fabric and a second for spare. Had it for a week and had shot hundreds of 3/8 steel with no wear on the backstop. I also installed an additional large Simpleshot Self Healing Target behind the spinner close to the backstop fabric which gets hit with plenty of my missed shots at 33 and 50 feet and also gives a good feedback on how close the shots are to the intended target. I used elastic string, s-hooks, and clamps to securely attach the spinner and the target.

My first catch box.
It arrived quickly. Easy to assemble. Have shot into it at least 100 times with no damage. A little expensive but is built tough.
Ammo Catch box
I love this catch box. I highly recommend it to anybody who is getting into shooting slingshots. I have very few to bounce out.
