How do you spell fun? E-C-S-T, or the East Coast Slingshot Tournament in Alverton, PA! Now in its sixth year, the ECST is the largest and most widely attended slingshot tournament in the USA. With shooters travelling as far as Texas and California to attend and the nation’s very best slingshot marksmen vying for first place, this event is not only fun but an example of what modern slingshots are capable of achieving in the hands of dedicated enthusiasts.
Founded by the late slingshot enthusiast, Jay Schott in 2009, the ECST has being growing steadily each year. In 2009, 15-20 folks attended. This year we expect in excess of 75 registered shooters and many, many more who are coming out just to enjoy the fellowship and fantastic fun on the range with other slingshot enthusiasts. What makes it so much fun? The event is held at a dedicated shooting sports facility with camping and multiple ranges. We compete and we shoot for fun...including a dedicated target range for safely shooting old glassware(bring your old dishes and bottles), novelty targets, and more can destroying than is legal in the state of California!
