This will put me in the game...

Posted by DALLEN BOUNDS on Apr 3rd 2018

My grand kids from Texas were here last year, and I intorduced them to the slingshot. They loved the experience. This year after readiing this book, I will know how to teach them to aim, because I have been doing it all by instinct. I didn't realize there was a FORUM to go to and retailers that would answer your questions. Cabela's doesn't offer anything, really, except a cheap slingshot and white marbles--"TRACERS" I heard them called. Now I have four of Nathan's slingshots and I am building a Target Box. Last year, I just hung a sheet behind the targets and it captured all of the kid's shots. This book is helping me get iit right this time--thanks to Nathan and Jack.

Fantastic book. It has everything you could ever need to know about slingshots and the sport. Very, very well organized and very well written. I would recommend the book to beginners and experienced shooters.

    A great reference!

It's not the be all and end all of slingshots but it's definitely a good starting point for new slingers. I did feel he could have expanded more on aiming and drawing but the book is pretty concise and an easy read. Let's face it, not many books are available on this topic so its a nice addition to the library!

All About Slingshots A to Z

Was not quite sure what to expect from this book. And I did read it in, not one, but two sittings because of the pondering required. I had already run into the "flyers problem" with the double bands I've been using. The book helped me visualize the probable issue with my release and I am correcting that. I have both a Scout with both general purpose 7/8" bands and Nitro bands and an Oculus Axiom Rebel with double flat bands.

    The "Bible" of Slingshot

Posted by Jim on Aug 5th 2017

I have the original version in the yellow jacket entitled "Slingshot Shooting" which I purchased from Nathan here, at Simpleshot Shooting Sports.

Jack Koehler has absolutely left "no stone unturned" in this highly celebrated and revered book covering every aspect of the sport we all love.

Whether you're even a potential new-comer and are totally uninformed of all the intricacies and nuances of this ancient art of sport and survival, or a dedicated veteran of it... this book is an absolute treasure trove of informational wealth without peer.

Do yourself a real favor and purchase this book, the cost of the book is a mere pitence for the knowledge you Will gain from this extremely informative read.... and one that you will want to keep handy as an ongong reference tool, for years to come. Enjoy!!

I am very new to this sport. I made myself read the whole book before I even banded my new slingshot. It really helped me to get started on the right path. Very simple to understand.

    Good but bad

The book is excellent but the binding is terrible. 95% of the pages has fallen out,but I've read it three times just shuffling through the pages it's that good.

    Comprehensive book!

Posted by Johan Gustavsson, Sweden on Jul 20th 2015

There are not many books out there on the subject of slingshots, but luckily, this one is both comprehensive and inspiring. A minus, though, for the grainy b&w photos and illustrations. You also have to handle the book with care, because of the poor binding. Nevertheless: this book is a must for all slingshot shooters.
