The Ocularis™ BeanFlip from FlippinOut slingshots offers the discerning slingshot enthusiast an ultra compact yet fully featured shooting platform.  Roughly the same dimensions as the Scout slingshot (outside fork width and overall height), the Ocularis™ BeanFlip sports the ever adaptable Ocularis band attachment method and the ability to be held in an ambidextrous full pinch grip or fork supported hold.  The "Bean" shaped pinky hole ensures a positive grip for both left and right handed shooters.  Made from CNC milled 1/2" thick high density polyethylene (HDPE), this slingshot is as tough as it is compact.  Learn more about the Ocularis™ attachment here.

    5 stars after modification

I really like the small size and the feel of the grip (I wear a "medium-large" golf glove). It is one of few slingshots that can accommodate single (unlooped) tubes. It has one significant flaw, however, which can be fixed. I am shooting single tubes thru the fork, but outside the fork. The problem is that the outside edge of the fork is round so the tubes want to move around, and this adversely impacts sighting/aiming. I fixed this problem by using a radial arm saw to take a sliver off the sides, thereby leaving a flat section about 9/16" long. This problem could also have been addressed by adding a groove on the side of the frame for the tube to sit in. It looks like some of the other ocularis models might have such a groove. With this problem fixed it is especially easy to aim by sighting and this slingshot is one of my favorites.

Hit what I pointed it at!

Right out of the mailing bag, I was hitting cans. Pretty amazing given its size and weight. The design is pure function and seems to enable the shooter to be accurate, but comfortably natural in delivery. Quite happy with this purchase.

    Had to try this system

I'm fairly new to slings and have tried several different designs but the ease of band swaps on this model just had to be tried. I shoot 'gansta' style and have fairly small hands but find this fit mine better than I expected and it didn't take long to see this shoots as well as some of my other favorites.

    A Surprise

I enjoy the portability of the Bean Flip, and have had no issues with it at all. Except one.
    I ordered an R10.
I figured, so what? Simple Shot has done well by me on several slingshots, so why. Complain about this one?
It works. It fits. Me well, and, as usual, I rarely miss the sky or the. Ground with I. ual,

This is one of the most comfortable slingshots I have ever used. I shoot with a thumb support and this is just what I was looking for.

Nice basic slingshot. But with multiple options using ocularis system. Very light weight, instinctively easy to shoot.

Excellent if it fits your hands

Nice little slingshot especially for the price. The frame is a little unforgiving your hands don't fit it right. It dug into mine pretty good but it fit the kids perfectly

Not a perfect fit for me.

Posted by dennis the menace on Aug 22nd 2016

I am 5'8 and my hand is a bout 9 inches from pinky tip to thumb tip. When a grip this piece I just cant get comfortable like I do with the Axiom and R-10. The Ocularis plugs are a snap to change bands and it is seemingly bulletproof. As far as the fit, finish and functionality I give it thumbs up like all other Flippin out products but its not the one that I reach for everyday. The Axiom gets the nod, R-10 and Jelly bean come in close after. ITS NOT THE PRODUCT...Its a size issue. Small hands may consider another fine product here.

    Bean flip

Bought this in the spur of the moment. Kind of small for my hands. Bands a little light for my taste. Small but effective. A little expensive for what it is.
