Ocularis Axiom™ Poly

Single slingshot or starter kit (safety glasses and 3# of 3/8" ammo)

The Ocularis™ line of slingshots is now here on our most popular model of slingshot, the venerable Axiom.  SimpleShot team member and master blacksmith, Lee Silva of BlackSheep Forge, presented this concept a few months back.  Almost too simple to notice, the simplicity is the genius.  We call it the "dial-a-fork" system(patent pending) for its ability to simply and quickly 'dial' your preferred band orientation.  Whether you set up your flatbands to shoot over the top, through the forks, or otherwise, changing and tuning your bands has never been easier or more secure.  And the Ocualaris is not just for flatbands, it can handle tubes as well.  Learn more in the video below.

This particular iteration of the Axiom Ocularis™ is crafted from CNC milled high density polyethylene(HDPE) in 1/2" and 3/4" thickness.

Each Axiom Ocularis™ comes with .030" thick pure latex flatbands and two Ocularis™ plugs.

Ocularis Shooting 04:15

How does the Ocularis shoot? Well, we admit it, our second camera was not running like we thought it was, so we have no proof (doh!). But take a look and you'll see (and hear) Nathan nailing his targets most of the time at 10 yards with the new Ocularis slingshot from SimpleShot Shooting Sports. http://www.simple-shot.com/products/ocularis-axiom-poly

  2. Great sling shot

Posted by Donald Williamson on Jan 23rd 2017

This is an excellent sling shot. Changing bands is a breeze & quick. Pushing the steel ball in is a little difficult. It is light, slick, but easy to aim & shoot. I would definitely recommend this one.

  3. Like a kid again

Posted by Matt on Jan 10th 2017

This is my first slingshot as an adult. I had a wrist rocket as a teenager, over 20 years ago, and use to shoot everything with it. I love the simplicity and flexibility of the ocularis mounts, and band changes are quick and easy. The bands that came on this are extremely weak; however, they were perfect for getting my shooting legs back. Within a couple hundred rounds of 3/8" from the stock bands, I'm consistently on the can at 30 yards, and ready to move into my 1745 tubes and 1/2" steel.

I'd love to get the cast aluminum version, and maybe eventually. But I wrecked my motorcycle today and will be off my feet for a while. So it goes.

  4. Great slingshot

Great little compact slingshot band change is fast and easy (convienient) just a little too slippery but after shooting for a while u kind find a good hand position

  5. Fun but slippery!

Posted by Joe H on Dec 12th 2016

No I'm not talking about a slip and slide... I'm talking about my ocularis poly. Following some simple instructions on YouTube has helped me become more accurate but this thing is slick! Shoots well and the band system is super handy. I suggest getting a version that is wrapped or just get some grip tape and that will help. Great value over all

  6. Feels comforatble in my hand

Posted by Billy Fugett on Nov 22nd 2016

I just received a couple of these in 3/4" thickness. It actually feels better in my hand than the Aluminum Beanflip I have. I feel like I shoot it slightly better than the BEanflip as well. I plan on buying a 1/2" thick model as well as an Aluminum Axiom when they are back in stock. I would recommend and I would buy again.

  7. Good value

Great starter sling. Easy to setup only draw back is how slick it is, though for what I costs I didn't mind taking some sand paper to it. I opted for the 3/4" over the 1/2" thick model and am glad I did.

  8. So far my favorite carry

Posted by Paul Aguayo on Oct 23rd 2016

When I purchased there were only the slimline available. Good for slipping in a back pocket. And great for swapping bands for different ammo. I'm finding it to be the most accurate of all of my slings for me. (Probably because it get the most attention)

  9. Simple, but great!

Posted by Unknown on Sep 17th 2016

Purchased to see if I like Ocularis plugs. After first try I wasn't to sure -- it took a bit of effort to gets bands exactly even and the way I like them. After second time I used the slingshot, I was convinced. This is a winner design. Easy to grip and very accurate. Excellent value. Would love to try the aluminum version...maybe someday!

  10. Great design

Great frame I was on target by the second shot. I might recommend the deluxe version the frame was a little slick for my taste. All around great slingshot

  11. SlingShot Magic

Posted by Fletch on Aug 19th 2016

This is a perfect piece of weaponry. HDPE is the primo slingshot material, it's light, tough, and feels good in the hand. The Ocularis System lives up to all it's claims. Able to handle all varieties of tubes and flats, its a cinch to make adjustments, change bands, and fine tune your set-up. I got the hand filling 3/4 thickness and this is currently my #1 shooter. There's a reason they call this the slingshot of champions........

  12. Great Entry Slingshot For My Son

Posted by Stephen Mathews on Jun 20th 2016

This was just what I hoped it would be. It needed a round'ish grip that my son can hold conventionally with his 11 year old hands and later grow into holding it as intended with bigger hands. The quick change system allowed us to find a band/length combination fast without him losing interest from me banding it the regular way time and time again during band tests. After getting thing right in about 10 minutes, the Ocularis quickly became his new favorite (over the ones I had made to find a fit). It works great for general band testing too.

  13. Two Eyed Shooter

Posted by Ronald on Jun 11th 2016

This is a very well made slingshot, it also shoots very good.

The thing looks like it has two big eyes looking at you.

I have purchased several slingshots from simple shot, the quality and workmanship has been terrific, which is a very rare thing now days.

Thanks, keep up the good work.

  14. Awesome

Posted by Chris on Mar 25th 2016

This thing is a ton of fun.

  15. Great slingshot, minor cons

Posted by Danny Kogel on Mar 15th 2016

Well this is one sturdy slingshot, but sadly the plastic is very smooth and it makes the slingshot abit problematic to hold, nothing that a hockey tape cant fix.

also the bands are great, not insane, but they sure do the job.

If you need it for mostly target parctice and sport, its the sling for you, however for hunting you'll need a pair of stronger bands.
