Nitro Bands

Priced per bandset. Double layer only.

Nitro Bandsets - Best for heavy ammo.  Not suggested for beginners as these bandsets generate significant energy and require much strength to handle safely and accurately.  For those who hunt with the slingshot or shoot extremely heavy ammo(over 200 grains), this is the bandset for you.

All bandsets are built around 10.5" length bands and may be cut shorter for more power.  The ammo suggestions are within a range, providing for the ability to accommodate a wide variety of draw lengths.  For more information, check out the Bandset User's Guide

Nitro - Ultra high power for hunting
Use with 1/2"steel-16mm lead
Double Layer Bandset

PLEASE NOTE:  These bands are built for high performance and sport very agressive tapers for top speed.  As such, one should not expect long life from these bands.  100-150 shots is a normal lifespan for these bandsets.

    Nitro bands

When they hard they are powerful and hard to pull it's no joke I use a 55lb recurve for dear and can hold easy 3 to 5 seconds.
So I though 5x active band length wouldn't be so bad. Wow did they hit hard! And full draw without warming the bands was hard to get there and even harder to hold form till the shot left the forks. I did buy 2 sets I'll shoot these out and next set trim to 4x instead of 5x. Drives a .440 or 7/16th lead ball through a 1 liter closed water bottle. With the 4x I estimate the form issues with be relieved without cutting power. Small game be ware

whats up with the negative comments on this?

These nitro bands are powerful. they really work on heavier ammo. whap!!! really powerful in my experience when I tested these nitro bands. I see some negative comments on these bands here. maybe it's because I'm sticking to the scout or ocularis. works for me!

While simple shot black is quite smooth, I believe it’s quite misleading to say these are very powerful; they are not. Compared to TBG of equivalent size they are not as powerful. The band life is also pretty much spot on, they don’t last very long. Quite underwhelming to be honest.

The amber ones are pretty good, but the black ones were really poor quality I think they got damaged after few shots. They hit pretty hard!

[Seller note: After seeing your shooting video, we have two important items for you to consider.
    1. Tune your bands to your draw and they will hit about three times harder than shown in your video. You'd need a 50 inch draw to use them that length.
    2. The damage to the bands is a sure sign of fork hits! It appears there's a visible fork hit on the blue Scout in the video.

Thank you for the review. Keep practicing!]

    A Great Hunting Bandset

At first I was a bit put off by the caution regarding the potential short life of the bandset. But my first and still ongoing experience with the Nitro bands has already exceeded the 100-150 average shot estimate. Also at first those nitro bands were harder to pull and also to maintain a proper grip on the pouch. Either with use the bands are weakening or I am developing a firmer grip. Maybe both. But I was overall so pleased that I ordered another set in anticipation of the eventual failure of the first set. I am generally achieving fair to good groups, but mostly in the lower left quadrant of my 20"x20" cardboard targets. I have been shooting OTT, but plan to try TTF on the next set with a Scout. I am shooting 1/2" steel ball bearings from discarded wheel races.

I bought these to try on my Hammer. The single straight cut latex that comes with the Hammer is great for target shooting, but I wanted to see what sort of speed I could get for .40 and .44 cal lead balls. First shot at 10m put a 40 cal ball through the side of an unopened soup can Subsequent shots with .36 and .40 cal balls mostly went through both sides of the mostly empty can. Can't say much for longevity yet since I've only taken ~25 shots with them so far, but just looking at how careful someone was attaching the pouch and how nicely the taper is done on the doubled set of bands, I have to guess these will be an excellent hunting set up that will launch many shots.

Please keep in mind that the slingshot bands are made from a natural material. This means that we have no way of predicting the life of the band. Even the best maintained bands can fail inexplicably or have a short life time. Despite our best efforts, using high quality industry standard materials and testing; approximately 1% of the bands fail early. We do not provide a warranty of any kind on bands.
