After serving several years as a one-off custom slingshot, the HareSplitter is now available to all.  Through a collaboration with FlippinOut Slingshots and Milbro Pro Shot UK, we are happy to introduce the HareSplitter Lite.

The original HareSplitter concept was built around the specific end user- his or her hand hold, angle of cant and style of shooting.  As such, each HareSplitter was built for the individual who commissioned it.  With the HareSplitter Lite, we have opened up the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the straight wrist ergonomics of the HareSplitter.  Originally envisioned as a fork supported slingshot, the HareSplitter Lite provides for both an ambidextrous low-fork hammer grip hold as well as a fork supported grip- both providing the shooter intuitive and easy pointing.

Designed by FlippinOut Slingshots and manufactured under license in England by Milbro Pro Shot UK, the HareSplitter Lite is a cast aluminum, handmade slingshot built to provide generations of enjoyment both afield and on the target range.

  1. Haresplitter is a Hair Splitter

Posted by David Closson on Jun 30th 2017

Got this in the other day and love it. Fit and finish are amazing. The straight wrist style too a bit of adjustment but once I had the hang of it it was outstanding. I am normally a TTF shooter but am definitely loving this OTT shooter. You cannot go wrong with this one.

Fun to shoot and very accurate.

  3. The Hairsplitter is an excellent

The Hairsplitter is an excellent slingshot. Quite accurate and fun to shoot. The aluminum casting is nicely polished and well shaped for comfortable shooting. The bands supplied by Simpleshot really put the 3/8" and 7/16" steel balls down range with considerable speed. I have only been shooting at 10 to 12 meters but I'm sure it will do well with greater distances. Pricy, but a high quality weapon worth the extra dollars. Simpleshot also gets things shipped very promptly. Good work guys!

  4. Beautiful design, technically perfect. Especially

Beautiful design, technically perfect. Especially like the capacity for fitting very wide bands. It does not, however, fit all size hands. That goes with out saying, and it did not fit my hand well. I still love the design and the aluminum casting, assuring a sling shot to last a life time.

  5. High praise for this product.

"High praise for this product. Nathan Masters is the consummate craftsman. I have slingshots from several prominent manufacturers of the slingshot scene but lately have been gravitating exclusively towards Simple-Shot products. This is my second Haresplitter Lite. Nothing wrong with the first but for the fact that folks keep wanting to 'borrow' it all the time. No surprises there. Also, bought my first Gen2 Scout from Simple-Shot...another winning product. Do yourself a favour and buy from Simple-Shot. You owe it to yourself to get some of the best slingshots ever.

  6. Excellent!

Posted by Marc R. on May 1st 2015

"I have only very recently (this week actually) got into shooting slingshots, after research I decided initially on the Scout which I bought from Simple-Shot but was also extremely interested in the HareSplitter Lite. I put my relative lack of accuracy (TTF grouping low left and inability to compensate for a bull) with the Scout down to inexperience which seemed reasonable, still does and I settled down to practise.

I also wanted the HareSplitter and ordered it from Milbro Pro-Shot in the UK, it arrived today with some TB Gold bands, I banded it and started shooting it this morning. My first couple of shots were flyers but I soon found my target and within about 8 shots I got my first ever bull!
I soon started grouping well getting a lot of bulls, I stopped when I had completely destroyed that area of the target. This is a quality, well designed and cast slingshot, the relative heft makes it feel stable, the design makes it comfortable and accurate, an excellent slingshot."

As I wrote , it is my favorite, but I use it backwards, emblem facing target, in this position feels most comfortable an accurate for me. Great slingshot.

  10. haresplitter lite

awesome chunk of metal. This fits perfectly in either hand and shoots with a great grouping. Only one mishap, a friend used it and held it backwards, an under pull. No one was hurt but he got a scare and I got a ding in my fork. I am really excited with this sling, Thank you.

  12. great sling shot

love this sling shot i just find i get a bunch of fork hits on the left for but other than that its a awesome shooter.

  13. Excellent Slingshot

Posted by Bob M. on May 1st 2015

The Hare Splitter is smooth finished but not slippery. It has a very comfortable handle size with a generous palm swell. The forks are lower than I was used to. I was a little unsure of that when I ordered but found it just perfect. The shorter forks also keep it a little easier to pack into a pocket/pouch. I had a little trouble my first couple of attempts to tie the bands to the forks. If the little notch was a tiny bit deeper it may help. That is not a strike against it, it is more indicative of my inexperience. It could be changed in a couple minutes with a file but I'm not going to change anything yet. My friends who are not regular slingshot shooters picked it up to give a few shots and were impressed at the quality. Buy yourself one!

  14. Possibly the best designed slingshot ever

Wonderfully stable and accurate. Fits the hand perfectly. Brilliant design allowing for very natural pointing. Perfectly suits my instinctive style of aiming.
