    DIY Bandset Srarter Kit

I’m very happy with this jig and supplies. It comes with enough material to make many bandsets and the online tutorial is very good as well. Nathan does an excellent job of explaining how to use it. Nathan recommends cotton string to tie the pouches but it doesn’t come with any. Had to buy some at the craft store - my only small complaint. Overall a nice product.

    DIY Bandset Starter Kit

I really liked the DIY bandset starter kit. I'm very new to making my own slingshots. Here's my outsider opinion to make this set better: 1. include a couple of tying bands for attaching the flat bands to the slingshot. I ended up just using rubber bands since I didn't want to cut up any of the flat bands included in the set (the rubber bands worked better than using the constrictor knot with the provided string for attaching the bands to the slingshot). 2. The pouches didn't seem as durable as I would have liked. However, this could be because of my limited experience tying my own band sets or the ammo I was using (1/2" glass marbles). 3. It would be nice to be able to select the color of the string in the kit. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the kit. I was able to make my own band sets with zero previous experience.

Use with instructional videos and learn the constrictor knot, and you can’t go wrong. Allows one to try different band configurations at a fraction of the cost of pre-made band sets. Fun to use!

The drilled holes were way too big for the pegs and around the pegs are chipped

I started making my own bands after realizing my obsession for slingshot shooting was not going away. This jig has been awesome and the tutorials that the team at simple shot has made are superb. Thanks!

I was waiting for this product to come back in stock. After doing reasearch I really felt this was the best band jig for me. I buy most, if not all my supplies from simple shot and this band jig utilizes their own products. They have a video that shows you everything on how to use it.

    Excellent for a newcomer

I only gave the kit a four star because I found the posts that hold the clips just a little short. I'm a big guy with large hands and found the posts a little hard to deal with. Simply went out and purchased a new rod and made my own longer posts. Everything else is great. Enjoy your site and find the video's very informative. Picked up a ton of knowledge. Thank you. John
