Axiom Champ™ Poly

The Axiom Champ is the slingshot design that has continually taken first place over the last few years in American slingshot tournaments.  Ray Bazonski, 2012, 2013, and 2014 East Coast Slingshot Tournament Champion and 2014 Midwest Slingshot Tournament Champion, has modified the FlippinOut Axiom design to his needs.  Preferring a very small slingshot, Ray has scaled down the overall dimensions of the Axiom design and increased the handle width.  The result is a truly pocket size slingshot that is capable of not only winning tournaments, but equally at home busting cans in the backyard or hunting small game.  Crafted from CNC routed 1/2" thick HDPE(high density polyethylene), this slingshot is nearly indestructible.  Capable of being banded to shoot over the top (OTT) or through the forks (TTF), this slingshot includes one set of 3/4" straight cut .030" latex bands.  Perfect for the slingshot enthusiast who like really small slingshots or those with small hands.

  • 3-1/4" wide (outside forks)
  • 1-11/16" fork gap
  • 4-5/8" tall
  • 1/2" thick
  • Fork tip width- 3/4"

Fun little slingshot, more than I expected. Sturdy and compact I can takes this with me anywhere and have fun plinking or honing my techniques, I did a little light sanding around the handle to reduce some handling slippage, but other than that. This S/S is just plain fun.

I like it. Perfect size because it feels great in the hand and yet fits in any pocket. I've been shooting it for a couple weeks now and its my go to.

    First flat band setup

    Posted by Droppin_dead on Sep 28th 2016

So im pretty new into the sport, I've only been at it for 6 months. Ive always used tubes on my custom made slingshots, but now after trying flat bands im amazed at how smooth it is on the draw. This design is simply awesome and easy to handle. I like that it can be changed from ott to ttf.

    Not worth the hype.

I've been shooting an old Marksman tube-band slingshot with the cheapo tapered tubes for 35ish years. I read and fell for all the hype of these newfangled slingshots and flat-bands. Bought this one along with the +P and NitroBands right off the bat. Tried them with every kind of ammo I have from 1/4" steel balls to marbles to .36 and .44 caliber lead balls. Even with the NitroBands, this one is nowhere near as powerful or fast as my old Marksman with the red tapered bands! Not even close. Also, it's probably 50% harder to pull and the shape of the slingshot is a real pain in the hand, hard to hold onto, and keep straight. Very disappointing that I blew $40 on this setup only to have something sitting around useless when I could have bought 7 more bandsets for my Marksman that would last me the next 7 years or so. The only thing better about this one is that it is smaller and lighter and easier to tuck in a pocket and have with me more often.

Packs a punch for the price, but....

Posted by Stephen Mathews on Jun 23rd 2016

This slingshot is awesome! It helps me get closer to my targets, and fits in my pocket with ease. It is very durable, and tough, at a price that can't be beat in my garage, for sure. However.... the lubrication effect of HDPE combined with the smooth outer cut finish, makes for a slippery slingshot. It wasn't five minutes before I took 80 grit sand paper to the outer edges and vola, it became a 5 star slingshot. I suggest a roughening of this unit to make it a better buy out of the box or another poly material.
